Henri Matisse and a few of other luminaries of modern art (van Gogh, Picasso, Renoir, Gaugin) take over the Vancouver Art Gallery this summer in Collecting Matisse and Modern Masters: The Cone Sisters of Baltimore, which runs May 26 to Sept. 30 and features nearly 50 paintings, sculpture and drawings from one of the world’s great holdings of early European Modernism.
