The Indian Summer Festival returns for its second year celebrating South Asian culture, arts and ideas July 5 to 15 at the Woodward’s Complex downtown (149 West Hastings St.) The 10 days of “stimulating performance, dialogue and culinary delights” will include appearances by local celebrity chef Vikram Vij; Bollywood icon Sharmila Tagore; journalist, politician and thinker MJ Akbar; renowned feminist Urvashi Butalia; and award-winning world music group Mrigya.
