Regarding the rezoning of Harbourside properties to allow for commercial and residential use:
I was involved in the building of our commercial strata building 26 years ago at the corner of Fell Avenue and West First Street long before the Northshore Auto Mall was there. I also own and live in a townhouse at the corner of Fell Avenue and Tobruck Avenue.
Since the auto mall was built, Fell Avenue traffic has become a nightmare and the expansion of Capilano Mall poured more traffic into Fell Avenue with a new traffic light.
I have yet to hear of any plans for another traffic artery into the auto mall and Harbourside properties. How is Fell Avenue going to handle the city's plans of more density? I haven't heard of anyone bringing this up at city council meetings.
