To the editor:

I am a parent in East Vancouver and have recently found myself advocating for my children's school. While the VSB is still my immediate battle ground, I am increasingly baffled by our provincial government. Indeed, almost every school board across the province is having to lay off teachers, slash programming and close schools. Are all the school boards equally incompetent or is there a bigger issue here?
