CityReach Care Society, a local organization supporting low-income families in Vancouver with nutritious food and education, is in search of sponsors for its Food for Families program, which has seen tremendous growth over the past year. The program is more than just a weekly food bank. It also has a focus on providing nutritional food, including fresh fruits and vegetables, while educating participants on how to create healthy, delicious and low-cost meals for their families. The Food for Families program, which launched in 2007, consists of a food bank featuring healthy, locally grown food with a focus on providing the four basic food groups. The program is integrated with EduKitchen, which provides nutritious cooking techniques and low-cost menu planning. The program is in search of monetary, in-kind food and in-kind courier sponsors.
