Home Depot Canada is going on a hiring spree

Job fairs will try to fill 150 jobs in Vancouver area alone
Home Depot Canada is preparing for the spring rush with a cross-country hiring push.
Home Depot Canada will be hiring 940 full-time, part-time and seasonal positions in B.C.

As home renovation season nears, Home Depot has announced that they are hiring for 7,000 positions across the country this spring, including 150 full-time, part-time and seasonal positions in Vancouver, and more than 1,300 throughout B.C.

In a press release today, the home improvement juggernaut stated that eligible full-time and part-time employees will have access to benefits, including company-paid health and dental, tuition reimbursement and employee assistance programs.

“We’re committed to putting our associates first,” said Aliana Rozenek, Home Depot’s vice president, human resources, communications and sustainability. “Through experiential learning, mentorship programs, and extensive training, we create growth opportunities and provide the necessary tools to prepare our associates for every level of their career.”

The retailer will be hosting job fairs in all 182 stores across Canada, focusing on on operations — responsible for inventory, freight and stocking— and sales. Candidates looking to apply can check out homedepot.ca/jobs to view all current openings, career events and to apply.

The Vancouver job fairs will take place on Jan. 24 from 7-11 p.m. at the 900 Terminal Ave. and 2388 Cambie St. locations, and again on Feb. 7 from 4-8 p.m.
