Who says there's no such thing as a free screening of Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey and a bag of popcorn? Pacific Cin‚mathŠque hosts its fourth annual open house and donor drive June 16. Comedian, actor and filmmaker Bobcat Goldthwait first gained fame and notoriety as the garbly voiced freak in Police Academy movies, and subsequently spent the rest of his career trying to erase that image most people had of him. The creator of Shakes the Clown, once called "the Citizen Kane of alcoholic clown movies," drops by Vancity Theatre as it hosts a Bobcat Goldthwait Retrospective, June 16 to 21. Films include You Don't Look the Same Either, Windy City Heat, World's Greatest Dad, Sleeping Dogs Lie, Shakes the Clown and his latest God Bless America.
