A popular made-in-Burnaby teen sitcom is back for a third season - and everyone's invited to watch it happen.
Mr. Young, the hit YTV comedy series that's filmed in a Byrne Road studio, is starting filming again for the season on May 11.
The show is Canada's first multi-camera teen series, and it's filmed in front of a live studio audience.
It stars Brendan Meyer as Adam Young, a whizkid-turned-teen-genius who graduates from university at the age of 14 and heads back to high school as a teacher.
It also stars Matreya Fedor, Gig Morton and Milo Shandel.
The series is rolling out to countries around the world, including Australia, Italy, France, the U.K. and throughout Latin America.
The production - which is the only one currently filming in Metro Vancouver that uses a live audience - is booking seats for its first show on May 11.
There's space for 175 people, and the filming evening will include prizes, pizza and a chance to meet the actors.
Tickets are free. The show is family-friendly and recommended for children aged 10 and up.
The studio is at 5828 Byrne Rd. in Burnaby (off Marine Way and Market Crossing). Audience checkin is at 4 p.m., and filming usually wraps by 9: 30 p.m.
