Inuit Throat Singing + Greenlandic Mask Dancing
Spend the evening immersed in the expressive worlds of Inuit throat singing and Greenlandic mask dancing. This unusual combo of sound and motion comes courtesy the talents of singer Tanya Tagaq and dancer Laakkuluk Williamson Bathory, who will take the stage together at the Chan Centre as part of the Beyond Words series. Tagaq and Bathory will be joined onstage by vocalist Christine Duncan, percussionist Jean Martin and violinist Jesse Zubot.

Ellis will host a “Book Club” event to speak about her book, and guests are encouraged to bring their own cherished recipe or travel memory for a group discussion.
