A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away… Okay, just kidding, this is something that is going to happen this spring in Vancouver but it’s 100 per cent for Star Wars fans.

The H.R. Macmillan Space Centre is holding their first Family Night event on May 4, 2018, and what better way to mark May 4th than with a Star Wars-themed evening for kids aged seven and up and their family.

May the 4th Be With You will include “droid trivia,” the chance to make your own light saber, the show “The Science of Light Sabers Fact vs Fiction” in the venue’s Groundstation Canada Theatre, and the planetarium show “Star Worlds – A look at planets in a galaxy near you.”

Costumes are totally encouraged, and weather-permitting, the evening will end with the chance to do some serious star gazing through the telescope in the observatory.

May the 4th Be With You

When: Friday, May 4 from 6:30-9:30 p.m.
Where: HR Macmillan Space Centre – 1100 Chestnut Street, Vancouver
Tickets: $15 kids (7-18), $20 adults
