They’ve performed at festivals, tattoos, parades and was the first non-military pipe band to play during the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace, but the Vancouver Police Pipe Band is getting ready to perform for a different audience.

The band recently posted on Facebook and Twitter that its next performance will be at the Rod Stewart concert when the rock legend’s tour hits Rogers Arena on Tuesday night.

The band was formed in 1914 and is the oldest non-military pipe band in the province.
