Get some novelty: Hardworking local comediennes Sara Bynoe and Riel Hahn are billing their tandem act tonight at the Emerald as “Novelty Act” in order to poke some fun at the notion an evening of comedy without any people with XY chromosomes on stage is something unusual. Plus they’re back by popular demand, so there’s that, and they also promise to wear lipstick for the occasion.
Get riding the highway: Surely it's true Tom Cochrane fans won’t be put off by the long drive out to Coquitlam to see the former Red Rider frontman play the Red Robinson Show Theatre because they understand that life itself is a highway and part of its enjoyment is riding it. Although it’s worth keeping in mind that the Lougheed Highway is not technically a highway at all and you’re much better off taking the TransCanada.

Watch for Boston to try to avenge their 5-2 beatdown Feb. 13 (that saw newcomer Shawn Matthias score his first career hat trick) with starter Ryan Miller down and out with an injury sustained in Sunday’s shutout over the Islanders. The puck drops at 4 p.m.
