To the editor:

Re: "Reduction plant counts cash while spreading 'stench,'" Letters, Aug. 31.

I must say that I found the Courier reader letter criticizing West Coast Reduction highly offensive in that it mentions the Diamond family in a most negative way.

There was no necessity to bring their well-respected family name into that criticism of the company.

I notice your proviso that you would edit letters for reasons of legality, taste, etc. I'm sorry you did not do so in this case.

The headline was also offensive.
