Fiddler on the Roof

The Chilliwack Players Guild production of Fiddler on the Roof continues April 26 to 28. All shows start at 7: 30 p.m. Ticket prices are $25/$22.50. The Chilliwack Cultural Centre is the venue and tickets can be purchased there or by phoning 604-391-7469.

Chicago

Graham Musical Theatre's production of Chicago continues April 26 to 28. With a 22-member cast accompanied by a 13-piece orchestra, this burlesque send-up of sensationalist media and corrupt justice system brings the longest-running show in Broadway history to Chilliwack. Chicago is at G.W. Graham Theatre, 45955 Thomas Rd. Tickets are available at London Drugs, SaveOn Foods (Vedder) and at the school. Shows are at 7: 30 p.m. and tickets are $15.

Hypnosis show

The Comedy Hypnosis Show featuring hypnotist Lee Dyson is coming to the Chilliwack Cultural Centre April 29 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 and available at the centre box office at 604-391-SHOW (7469) or in-person Monday to Friday, 9: 30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, 9: 30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are also available online at www. chilliwackculturalcentre.ca.

Ron James

With five television comedy specials under his belt and the Ron James Show into its third successful season on CBC-TV, Canada's busiest and best-selling comedian takes to the road with a new "gut-bustingly, knee-slappingly funny" 90-minute rant, Ron James . . . Live! James comes to the Chilliwack Cultural Centre May 3 at 8 p.m. Reserved seating tickets are $40.63 to $46.43 (plus tax and local facility charges). Chilliwack in Harrison

Bill Henderson and Chilliwack come to Harrison Hot Springs May 5 for a fundraising event for the Harrison Festival Society. This event will provide much-needed support to the society as well as a rare opportunity to see Chilliwack in a smaller, more intimate venue. There are only 200 tickets available for this evening. Tickets are $75 plus HST. A $30 tax receipt will be issued with each ticket. With the purchase of eight tickets your table will be reserved; all other seating is general admission. Woodcarving

The Central Fraser Valley Wood Carvers will be holding their annual show and competition on May 5 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Chilliwack Heritage Park. Admission is $3 by donation, children under 12 free. For more information visit www.centralfraservalleywoodcarvers.com.

The Earth Sings!

The Chilliwack Festival Chorus invites all to celebrate the rich diversity of our planet at its concert, The Earth Sings! on May 5 and 6 at Carman United Church, 7258 Vedder Rd. Tuning in to the global Earth Day celebrations of late April, the chorus has prepared a program of global proportions, emphasizing world music and the inspired wisdom of other cultures. Tenore

Sing! is proud to announce its 2012 BC Concert Series for Sing! presents Tenore, the award-winning group that burst onto the Canadian Gospel music scene in 2011. The series will see Tenore return to Chilliwack with new material on May 11. This event will take place at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 general and $20 for seniors (service fees included) and can be purchased at the Centre's box office (in person, online at chilliwackculturalcentre.ca, and over the phone at 604-391-7469), as well as at Verses and House of James.
