Re: "Most schools sports to continue despite BCTF vote," April 25.

Kudos and thank you to Mr. Gault, the teachers and coaches who continue to support their school's athletic teams.

As Mr. Aziz points out, the voting decision has been emotional to these people, myself included. Two years ago, I was very fortunate to have participated in Magee's athletic teams. This year, I was looking forward to help coach Magee's softball team, only to be disappointed that the league has been cancelled.

Ms. Stewart presents the teachers' and the administrators' responses regarding the vote. However, there is a lack of response from the students and parents, and I feel that this should have been addressed in this article. Hopefully the matter will be resolved and that the extracurricular activities will be reinstated by the next school year.
