Nigella Lawson was at Gourmet Warehouse on Hastings Street April 26, signing copies of her new cookbook At My Table. During Thursday's event, Lawson signed cookbooks and posed for photos with her foodie fans, before taking part in a question-and-answer period. Check out these photos from the evening.
Lawson’s visit to the Vancouver store was part of her Western Canadian book tour and almost 90- minutes before the sold-out event was about to start, fans began to line up to meet the “domestic goddess.”
Lawson, who lives in London, England, has been encouraging home with her approachable, achievable and delicious recipes since she arrived on the culinary scene in the late 1990’s with How to Eat and How to be a Domestic Goddess.
Her books inspire home cooks to try new flavours and explore recipes they might never have attempted previously. Universally known for creating beautiful dishes every cook can create, Lawson is back again with a new book of recipes.
At My Table celebrates home cooking and in the book Nigella shares more than 100 recipes she loves to make for her own family and friends. From new riffs on classic favourites like a chestnut-based chicken fricassee and ginger-rich carrot cake, to a host of new dishes and ingredients, including eggplant fatteh (flat bread) and white miso hummus, At My Table is a volume of delicious ideas from dinner to dessert to be served and savoured for years to come.
