You might think it is the tea with a block of cheese on top. Well, this is definitely not the case. The floating cheese part on the surface is melted cream cheese with whipping cream, milk and a little salt, which creates a very savoury taste.

Cheese tea was invented in China back in 2011. It was an instant hit after it came out. Today, most bubble tea stores have cheese tea on their menu, and it has a variety of flavours based on what type of tea it goes with.

There are two ways to taste cheese tea. If you are a cheese lover, you would definitely love the taste of the top cheese layer and start drinking directly. If you enjoy a more subtle taste, mixing the top layer with the rest of the tea can give you a more refreshing feeling.
