Favourite memories of trip: Lenora Hayman returned to the city of Oaxaca, Mexico, to find there were many more cars on the street since her previous visit 27 years ago. On Nov. 16, 2010, UNESCO added the cuisines of Mexico to the Intangible Cultural Heritage List. Foodies regard the city of Oaxaca as Mexico’s culinary capital. After dining at four gourmet restaurants, Casa Oaxaca, La Pitiona, El Origin and Mezquite, Lenora walked off her calories when visiting the archeological site of Monte Alban.
