6 new ways to fly out of Vancouver in 2018

Flair, WestJet, Air Canada and Air New Zealand among carriers to add flights

Low-cost carrier Flair Airlines has launched year-round flights from YVR to Kelowna, Edmonton and Toronto.

Air travellers will have more ways to get in and out of Vancouver this year.

• Budget-fare Flair Airlines began offering year-round flights from Vancouver to Kelowna, Edmonton and Toronto in December.

• West Jet added new year-round daily services from Vancouver to Comox and Nanaimo in December.

• Starting May 17, Air Canada is offering new daily service to Sacremento.

• Canada’s first non-stop flight to Melbourne, Australia will be launched at YVR in June by Air Canada.

• Interjet’s nonstop service between Vancouver and Mexico City and Cancun, launched last October, continues.

• WestJet’s subsidiary, Swoop, and Canada Jetlines are planning to launch an ultra-low-cost flights from Vancouver in July.

• From January to July, Air New Zealand is increasing its operations between Auckland and Vancouver.
