To the editor:

What is needed is a comprehensive, independent review of the provincial funding model for education. The report verified that there is a structural deficit and that the board has, in effect, been subsidizing annual operating expenses--exactly the issues that advocates for public education have been identifying for years. But the report failed to identify a sustainable solution to the chronic under funding.
