Property for sale: 1480 McRae Ave., $5.28 million

Specs: 3,514 square feet, 3 bedrooms

Targeted at “empty nesters” looking to downsize, The Crescent on McRae is a 15-unit townhouse complex that was just completed in January. Although the properties had yet to be listed on MLS when the Courier spoke to realtors Lynn Johnson and Bruce Warner of MacDonald Realty on Jan.23, five units had already sold. “The buyers are all locals, Vancouverites,” said Warner.

Some already lived in Shaughnessy, he added; others lived in Kerrisdale. They didn’t want to worry about maintaining a house any longer, but still wanted quality.

The townhouse at 1480 McRae Ave. is on three levels, with a garage underneath. A private elevator connects all four levels. In addition to its three bedrooms, the townhouse features a library with fireplace, a family room, and a rooftop deck offering views over Vancouver. Built on 1.3 acres, The Crescent on McRae includes gardens dotted with waterfalls.
