To the Editor,
Re: "Waldorf supporters submit 72-page report to city hall," Feb. 5 online.
It is with a wry sense of humour that I have read the media-led metamorphosis of what was a rather sleazy hotel in the 50s named the Waldorf. The clientele then seemed to be mainly prostitutes and the crews off the freighters that docked or moored in the eastern part of the harbour.
The "morph" being completed, the Waldorf turns out be "an iconic, historic hotel." A-mazing!
