Vancouver police Monday night arrested 42-year-old Kevin Jerome Holden, who is serving a five-year sentence for a hostage-taking. On March 10, police issued a Canada-wide warrant for Holden after he failed to return for his curfew at his Vancouver halfway house.

“We were acting on a tip and he was arrested in the Lower Mainland,” said Sgt. Jason Robillard.

In addition to charges stemming from a 2013 hostage-taking, Holden has 34 prior convictions for breach of trust, violence and property related offences.
