Roundhouse Radio 98.3 FM has found a potential buyer.
Despite the bid, however, the station station ceased broadcasting on Sunday.
While the station has confirmed it’s received an offer, no transfer of operations can be made without regulatory approval from the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission, according to a May 4 statement from Roundhouse.
“So effective May 6th, 2018 at 6 PM PST, Roundhouse Radio will cease broadcasting,” the statement said.
“Further updates will be made by the purchaser when information is available. On behalf of the Ownership Group, management and our staff, we wish to thank the community for their heartfelt support.”
Broadcasting was originally slated to cease on April 30; however, interest from a potential buyer extended its broadcast life for an additional week.
