Preszler Law Firm sent out a release on the wire June 20 saying they’ve been retained as the legal counsel for the “young man involved in the on-field incident at the BC Lions game on June 16, 2018.”

That would be the incident where the young man ran onto the field in his underwear taunting players and officials before getting absolutely creamed by Lions defensive back Marcell Young.

Preszler states, “Our client suffered serious injuries, including a mild traumatic brain injury, as a result of being violently struck by BC Lions player Marcell Young.”

They note that their client was released from hospital and is now recovering at home. It wasn’t clear if he had yet recovered from hangover he was suspected of having. Global has reported that the VPD indicated “he was unable to care for himself due to his degree of alcohol intoxication.”

He was fined $115 and was banned from BC Place for a year.

The statement notes, “His future prognosis remains unclear.” But it seems as though a lawsuit may be on the not-so-distant horizon. We’ll keep you posted if and when that… hits.

The Lions said they have no comment on the development.
