Landlubbers, seadogs and the canoe-curious will get a chance to exclaim “I’m on a boat” when the Vancouver International Boat Show floats into BC Place and Granville Island Jan. 17 to 21.

Billed as Western Canada’s largest boat show, the 56th annual event features more than 250 exhibitors showcasing the latest products and models.

Highlights include the 2018 Regal 42 Grand Coupe, 75-foot motor yacht Prestige 750, Sea Ray L650 Fly, 170 and 150 Montauk, North River 29 Pilot House, Jeanneau Merry Fisher 1095, Princess 68 and the latest from Chris Craft Boats and Sunseeker.

In addition to boat ogling, visitors can get their feet wet with more than 125 free seminars, demonstrations, boat rides, a kids’ zone and exhibitors hawking the latest gear, equipment and travel destinations.   

The boat show also offers free shuttle buses and water ferries between its BC Place and Granville Island locales.

The boat show takes place Jan. 17 to 21, Wednesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., while the “Floating Show” at Granville Island closes at 5 p.m. daily.

Admission is $15 for adults, $13 for seniors, and free to kids 16 and under. Discounted multi-day and twilight passes are also available.
