You should probably be excited about Canucks first-round pick Brock Boeser, who is having one fine rookie season over in the NCAA. The gifted University of North Dakota forward was recently named the National Collegiate Hockey Conference rookie of the week after extending his point streak to twelve games and his goal streak to seven -- one shy of the University of North Dakota's freshman record goal streak, set by Kevin Maxwell in 1978-79. That meant on Friday, Boeser had a chance to match a 37-year-old record. All he had to do was score. Did he get it done?

Sort of. While Boeser did manage to pick up an assist in the 5-5 tie, extending his point streak to 13 games, he failed to score -- at least during the game. In the ensuing shootout, he was the lone goal-scorer, giving UND the extra point. Plus the goal was sexy, which has to count for something. It was so sexy it warranted a blog post, in our humble opinion. See for yourself:

I mean, wow. Look at those hands. That's just effortless skill on display. Boeser raised that puck with purpose. He raised it like it was the next king of the Pride Lands.

That's it. I wrote this entire post for that joke. Enjoy this sexy goal.
