Sbisa scores a Sbisasaurus for adorable child

Earlier this month, we saw the amazing tale of Hotdog Horvat. Six-year-old Adley made a deal with his dad: if Horvat scored a goal, Adley got a weiner dog, which he pledged to name Hotdog Horvat. Sure enough, Horvat scored.

Earlier this month, we saw the amazing tale of Hotdog Horvat. Six-year-old Adley made a deal with his dad: if Horvat scored a goal, Adley got a weiner dog, which he pledged to name Hotdog Horvat. Sure enough, Horvat scored.

It’s the best thing that has happened all season.

It also appears to have inspired imitators. One enterprising young fan negotiated a Henrik Sedin jersey if Henrik made it to 1000 points at her first time at an NHL game. Fortunately, that first time was at the Canucks game against the Florida Panthers and Henrik came through.

But weiner dogs? Jerseys? That’s small potatoes.

What you really want is a dinosaur.

That’s what one little girl at the game against the Panthers demanded from her father: a friggin’ dinosaur. Now that’s what I’m talking about.

The father was no fool, however, agreeing to the deal but only if someone incredibly unlikely were to score. Like, say, someone with only one goal this season. Someone like Luca Sbisa.

Whoops.

Luca Sbisa shocked everyone with not just a goal, but a top corner gamewinner. Now that little girl’s dad owes her a dinosaur, which she will name, according to the postscript on the bottom of her sign, “Sbisasaurus.”

Perfect.
