A car fire broke out on Highway 99 in Delta just south of the George Massey Tunnel Tuesday afternoon, slowing traffic on the already congested part of the highway.
DriveBC alerted drivers to the fire in the southbound lanes just after 3:30 p.m.
The vehicle engulfed in flames appeared to be pulled off to the side of the road, near Slough Bridge.
DriveBC advised motorists to expect delays due to congestion.
