Allison Campbell of Maple Ridge led the Maryland Terrapins to their best-ever season finish, narrowly missing qualifying for the Div. 1 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Women's Water Polo Championships.
The Terrapins team came up just one goal short in its bid for a berth in the NCAA championship.
Campbell powered the offence with a five-point effort (three goals and two assists), to lift the fourth-seeded Terrapins to a 9-8 upset win over top-seeded Michigan in the semifinals.
