Varsity Ridge Bowl will be torn down to make way for a four-storey condo building, but the popular West Side bowling alley is still open and still busy with families, seniors and children. On Nov. 26, the owner and patrons of the bowling alley pleaded with the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation to open and operate a public bowling centre, something done by only four municipalities in B.C.
