Canucks to honour Humboldt Broncos at tonight's game

Players' helmets will sport logo of Saskatchewan team that lost 15 people in Friday's bus crash

In his last NHL game, Henrik Sedin's helmet will bear the logo of the Humboldt Broncos.

Tonght's Vancouver Canucks game against the Edmonton Oilers will take on an added poignancy as both teams' players take to the ice at Rogers Place wearing helmets bearing the logo of the Humboldt Broncos.

The logo is surrounded by the words "Our thoughts, Our Prayers."

The junior hockey team from Saskatchewan was travelling by bus to a playoff game on Friday when it was involved in a collision with a transport truck. Fifteen of the 29 people on the bus, including player Jaxon Joseph who used to play with the Surrey Eagles, died.

While NHL players honour the lives lost on their helmets, coaches will wear a yellow and green ribbon, the Broncos team colours.

This is Henrik and Daniel Sedin's last game with the Canucks. They announced their retirement on Monday.
