Vancouver landscape architect Cornelia Hahn Oberlander was awarded the profession's highest honour, the Sir Geoffrey Jellico Award from the International Federation of Landscape Architects. The award was presented in Zurich, June 28. The Order of Canada recipient designed the roof garden that tops the central Vancouver Public Library and is overseeing construction of the initial phase of redevelopment at VanDusen Botanical Garden. She was the landscape architect for the Museum of Anthropology at the University of B.C., more recently worked on the courtyard for the New York Times building and completed the design for the Robson Square law courts area in 1983.
