The amazing Jeopardy! run by New Westminster’s Ali Hasan has come to end.

The high school teacher, who had won $67,801 through three episodes this week, lost Friday night despite answering the final question correctly.

In the category “medicine and the movies,” the Final Jeopardy! question was, “Vestibular rehabilitation is one treatment for a condition that is also the title of this 1958 suspense film.”

The answer is Vertigo but Hasan only bet $3,801 of his $7,800, while eventual winner Jordan Nussbaum, a lawyer from Ontario, gambled more.

Hasan had built up a nice lead in the first round, but hit a cold spell during Double Jeopardy!  and let out an audible sound of frustration at missing one question near the end.
