Bag of illicit drugs found by person out for a walk in Langford

A person out for a walk on Langford’s Turnstone Drive called West Shore RCMP early Friday after finding a bag containing a large quantity of drugs. Fentanyl, heroin and methamphetamine are among the drugs police identified.

A person out for a walk on Langford’s Turnstone Drive called West Shore RCMP early Friday after finding a bag containing a large quantity of drugs.

Fentanyl, heroin and methamphetamine are among the drugs police identified. They were in a yellow drawstring bag with the words “Burberry London England” on it.

The bag was found about 1 a.m., and police believe it had been in the area since about noon Thursday.

Police are asking anyone with dashcam footage from the vicinity between noon Thursday and 1 a.m. Friday to review it. Residents with home-surveillance footage are asked to do the same.
