Security at the University of Victoria say a black bear was seen on the campus about 6 a.m. Friday in the area of parking lot 2, near the McKinnon Building and Finnerty Road.
Saanich police attended and later reported sightings in UVic’s student-housing area. The public is advised to use caution.
There has been a string of bear sightings in the capital region in recent days.
