Man arrested, accused of stabbing and robbery in Courtenay

A 33-year-old Courtenay man has been arrested in connection with a robbery and stabbing at a store. Comox Valley RCMP said a female employee was stabbed on the evening of Sept.

A 33-year-old Courtenay man has been arrested in connection with a robbery and stabbing at a store.

Comox Valley RCMP said a female employee was stabbed on the evening of Sept. 18 by a man who entered the Courtenay store in the 1000-block of Ryan Road and then stole money and cigarettes.

Police released a photo of the suspect running from the scene, and they credit tips from the public with helping to identify and locate him.

The man remains in custody.
