A Saturday police standoff at an apartment building ended after several hours with no injuries, Victoria police Const. Matt Rutherford said.
Victoria police and the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team were at the building at Burnside Road East and Carroll Street throughout the afternoon.
The man barricaded in the apartment was wanted for an outstanding warrant. He was later arrested.
Police cordoned off a section of Carroll Street during the incident.
Rutherford said the emergency response team was brought in as a precaution.
