Minor earthquake north of Victoria

A minor earthquake was lightly felt in Greater Victoria Saturday morning, according to Earthquakes Canada. The 1.9 magnitude earthquake hit shortly after 8 a.m. about 11 kilometres north of Victoria at a depth of 35 metres.

A minor earthquake was lightly felt in Greater Victoria Saturday morning, according to Earthquakes Canada.

The 1.9 magnitude earthquake hit shortly after 8 a.m. about 11 kilometres north of Victoria at a depth of 35 metres.

Earthquakes Canada said there are no reports of damage and none would be expected.
