A 38-year-old man reported overdue in a Nanaimo area popular with mountain bikers has been found safe.
Nanaimo RCMP and search and rescue volunteers searched the trails west of Doumont Road after the man’s family said he didn’t return from a mountain biking trip Monday.
The man was located by searchers late Tuesday morning and walked back to his vehicle.
The mountain biker had planned to spend the night on the mountain, but that message wasn’t conveyed to some family members.
