West Shore RCMP are asking for the public’s help locating a missing Colwood man who hasn’t been seen since late September.

Geoffrey Irwin, 35, has been missing since Sept. 27, and his disappearance was reported to police at the end of October. His vehicle, a black 2017 Ford Escape, was found Nov. 25 by police near the Park Royal Mall in West Vancouver.

Police do not suspect foul play, said Const. Nancy Saggar of West Shore RCMP.

It’s not unusual for Irwin not to contact his family, but they are concerned for his well-being, she said.

Irwin is known to travel between the West Shore and the Lower Mainland, and could be in either location, she said.

Police have followed up on many leads since his disappearance.

Irwin is described as white with blond hair and blue eyes, approximately six feet tall and about 200 pounds, with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a grey zip-up hoodie, black T-shirt and black shorts and carrying a backpack.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call their local police immediately. Anonymous reports can be made through Crime Stoppers online or by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
