Victoria police are reopening the front counters at their Victoria headquarters and Esquimalt location to offer fingerprinting, police information checks and other services starting Monday.

Services will be available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday in Victoria and 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Esquimalt.

The lobby areas have been reconfigured to allow for physical distancing, and staff will be limiting the number of people inside at once. Many of the services offered through the front counter have been made available online since VicPD paused in-person services March 18, and appointments for in-person services can be booked online.

Appointments are required for fingerprinting services and to pick up recovered property. Appointments are not required for other services, but are encouraged. To make an appointment, call VicPD’s non-emergency line at 250-995-7654.
