Residents of a Torquay Drive townhouse are temporarily in alternate accommodations after a chimney fire.
The Saanich Fire Department was called about 11:30 p.m. Monday, said Lt. Insp. Sean Lillis.
“The people ended up not being able to stay but we have our Saanich Emergency Social Services,” he said. “They were able to put them up in a place.”
The fireplace was being used at the time of the incident.
No one was hurt, Lillis said.
