A man in a stolen vehicle from New Westminster was arrested last week in Sidney.
RCMP said they responded to a complaint from businesses on Tuesday that a man was acting suspiciously inside a vehicle on Resthaven Drive.
Police determined that the vehicle had been reported stolen from the Lower Mainland municipality the day before and arrested the man inside. He was taken into custody without incident.
The man has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime and breach of a release order. He is set to appear in court in Vancouver on June 3.
Sidney-North Saanich RCMP are working with the New Westminster police to return the vehicle to its owner.
