Surveillance video captures image of Port Hardy car break-in suspect

Port Hardy RCMP are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who was captured on video surveillance stealing items from an unlocked car. Police said the video shows a man trying to get into multiple cars in the early hours of Feb.

Port Hardy RCMP are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who was captured on video surveillance stealing items from an unlocked car.

Police said the video shows a man trying to get into multiple cars in the early hours of Feb. 15, before he finds an unlocked vehicle on Quatse Crescent.

He took $10 and key chains.

The man is described as Indigenous, in his early 20s and about five-foot-six with a slim build. 

Port Hardy RCMP are reminding the public to lock their vehicles and remove valuables.
