A man has been arrested after a stabbing in Port Alberni Thursday evening.
Port Alberni RCMP said around 7:20 p.m. a 38-year-old Port Alberni man was stabbed in the leg, suffering non-life threatening injuries.
The victim and witnesses identified the suspect to police, but he had already fled the scene. The victim and suspect knew each other and were known to police.
Shortly after 9 p.m., officers located and arrested the suspect for aggravated assault and possessing a weapon dangerous to the public.
Port Alberni RCMP ask anyone who witnessed the attack or has video surveillance of the area to call 250-723-2424.
