Nine-game ticket packages for the FIBA Olympic men’s basketball qualifying tournament for Tokyo 2020 will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. PT.

The tournament runs June 23-28 at Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre. The winner will qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Summer Games.

The tournament packages can be purchased online at selectyourtickets.com, by phone at 250-220-7777 or in person at the Memorial Centre box office.

Tickets for single games will be available at a later date.

Canada, with almost all its NBA players committed, will face world No. 7 Greece and China in Group A. Uruguay, Czech Republic and Turkey are in Group B.

Each team will play the other two teams in its own group, and the top two teams in each group will advance to the semifinals. The two semifinal winners will advance to the winner-takes-all final for an Olympic spot.

Ticket packages start at $270, or $30 per game, plus service charges. Top seats are $1,350, or $150 per game.

Two dollars from each ticket will go to the tournament’s not-for-profit legacy fund to be reinvested in the promotion of sport development, social, cultural, economic and community development across the capital region. More information can be found at vic2020.basketball.ca.

Three other qualifying tournaments will be held in Split, Croatia; Kaunas, Lithuania; and Belgrade, Serbia.
