An extensive investigation by West Shore RCMP culminated in the recovery of stolen tools and equipment worth more than $30,000.
Police began investigating in May and carried out a search warrant at a storage unit in Saanich on July 3. A 57-year-old man known to frequent the West Shore was identified.
Cpl. Fred Ritchie, of the West Shore RCMP Crime Reduction Unit, said police found a “massive” amount of property linked to thefts reported across Greater Victoria.
Police are in the process of returning the items to their owners.
