Times Colonist 10K organizers presented this year’s race shirt to provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry and Premier John Horgan at the premier’s office on Tuesday. The shirts, designed by local artist Robert Amos, are souvenirs for this year’s event.
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the April race was cancelled. Race organizers are now offering a virtual format instead, with runners signing up online and running or walking their own route.
The shirts will be handed out by appointment to people who registered for the 2020 TC10K. The shirt pickup will be at the University of Victoria’s Centennial Stadium parking lot on Friday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. An appointment system is being used to help with social distancing.
More information about how to pick up the shirts and participate in the virtual run is at tc10k.ca.
