Cypress Mountain has announced its opening for the winter ski season starting today from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Easy Rider Quad Chair will be open, allowing riders to access the Runway ski run, as will the Express High-Speed Quad which will allow skiers and snowboarders to access the Upper Fork and Lower Jasey Jay ski runs. Four terrain park features will also be open, according to a Cypress press release.

Starting tomorrow, the mountain resort will revert to its regular early season operating hours, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

While Cypress staff work on opening more terrain and runs in the park, tickets to the mountain resort will be 50 per cent off this weekend.

Grouse Mountain has announced that it's opening with limited terrain starting tomorrow.
